Penelope turns 3

We had a pretty great weekend, all in all. It was a shaky start to the weekend (more on that tomorrow) but it turned out to be really nice in the end.

On Sunday, Penelope turned three. It's hard to believe this firecracker is three already some times, but other times it feels like, "she's ONLY THREE?!". We decided (actually I did and Matt goes along with anything) that we would just do a family thing because I haven't been feeling great and the thought of hosting people at my house is just too much so we just did the family thing with the grandparents and hope that people aren't offended.

So we did a little lunch, opened some presents, had some cake, and went in for a nap.

Do you think I could get one picture of her smiling?
 Just one?
 I could not.
This girl would not cooperate for nothing.

She got some fun toys including a little trampoline (which her and Lucy took to right away), a little cash register, a scooter, some clothes, and a pair of jelly shoes so she doesn't try to take Lucy's away (which are 4 sizes too small yet she crams her feet in them anyways and then yells because it hurts).

We have a bonafide threenager in the house now.

They grow up so fast, one moment they are babies the next they are running around and you are trying to catch them
